SOLO

The creation, shaping and accompaniment of sound, and its transmission from the instrument and the resonance of one’s own body into a specific acoustic space, is in itself a profoundly satisfying experience. This is exponentially intensified by the experience of the emotions and feelings inherent in music through the transfer to the instrument. However, nothing compares to performing for an audience, which provides the opportunity to communicate these feelings and emotions and to connect directly to the hearts and souls of the listeners.

In addition to programmes with the well-known solo music by Bach, Vilsmayr, Westhoff and Pisendel, I have a very special solo programme in my repertoire, which requires all my acquired and internalised knowledge.

A programme performed on three different instruments and four different bows, leading the listeners from the Renaissance, with a Ricercar by Bassano, to the 18th century of Bach’s Chaconne, proposing the differing stylistic properties of the music of six different composers with differing violin techniques.
